Project Overview
In August 2011, I was commissioned by Style Weekend (Manila Bulletin’s weekly lifestyle magazine) to photograph a special Singapore National Day issue. This editorial showcased the work of six emerging Singaporean fashion designers, shot against the backdrop of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

My Role
- Lead photographer for the entire editorial
- On-location direction and composition
- Collaboration with stylists, makeup artists, and editors
- Delivered print-ready photography for magazine cover and multi-page spread
Creative Approach
- Contextual Storytelling: Each look was paired with an architectural or cultural landmark to highlight Singapore’s blend of tradition and modernity.
- Styling & Mood: Worked closely with stylists to create images that balanced high fashion aesthetics with accessible editorial appeal.
- Editorial Impact: Imagery anchored the magazine’s Singapore Special issue, designed to position local designers for international recognition.
